Short answer: Registration for the PM Youth Chromebook Scheme runs only on the official IBCC portal, pmychromebooks.ibcc.edu.pk. You select your board, find your record with your CNIC/B-Form number, roll number, or registration number plus your date of birth, verify the details the portal shows, upload your documents, and submit. You then get a reference number and a slip to download and keep. There is no fee, no agent channel, and no paper form — and you cannot edit your application after submitting, so check everything before the final click.
Before you start, read the timing warning: board notices reported a 19 October 2026 last date for the first registration round in some boards (BISE Lahore, AJK board), and no extension had been confirmed publicly by 26 October 2026. Distribution runs over two years, so later rounds may follow — but if your board’s current round is closed, no blog or WhatsApp forward can reopen it. Check the portal and your board’s notice for the current position first.
Step 1: Check your board’s list first
Before you open the portal, check whether your board has published its eligible-candidates list. Boards send the names of shortlisted top performers to IBCC — BISE Multan, for example, published a PDF list of eligible 9th class candidates on its website, and BISE Peshawar and BISE Bahawalpur published letters and lists in mid-October 2026. If your name is on your board’s list, the portal should find you. If it is not, the portal cannot help you until your board updates its list.
Step 2: Open the official portal — and only that portal
Type pmychromebooks.ibcc.edu.pk yourself in your browser. Do not click a registration link from an SMS, WhatsApp message, or Facebook ad — fake copies of scheme portals are already circulating (see our safety guide: Fake Chromebook Registration Websites and SMS). Bookmark the real address once it loads.
Step 3: Select your board
Choose the board that conducted your 2026 annual examination. This matters because the portal checks your record against that specific board’s data. Selecting the wrong board is a common reason for a “record not found” result.
Step 4: Find your record
- Enter your CNIC or B-Form number, roll number, or registration number — numbers only, no dashes — exactly as they appear in your board record.
- Enter your date of birth exactly as shown on your school or identity documents. A mismatched date is one of the commonest reasons a record is not found.
- Click “Find My Record”. The portal searches the data your board sent to IBCC.
Step 5: Verify every detail the portal shows
If a match is found, the portal displays your name, school, and marks, pulled from your board’s list. Check every field against your result card:
- Spelling of your name
- Your school’s name
- Your class, roll number, and marks
If anything is wrong, do not submit and hope it gets fixed later — it will not, because you cannot edit after submission. Contact your school or board to correct the underlying record first.
Step 6: Upload your documents
Upload, each file 300 KB or smaller:
- Recent colour photograph (JPG or PNG)
- SSC Part-I or Part-II result card, as applicable (JPG, PNG, or PDF)
- Attested copy of your CNIC or B-Form (JPG, PNG, or PDF)
- Attested copy of your father or guardian’s CNIC (JPG, PNG, or PDF)

Step 7: Submit — and save your proof
Review the whole form one last time, then submit. The portal issues a reference number and an application slip. Download the slip and keep it safe, plus a screenshot of the reference number. That slip is your proof of registration — without it, chasing a lost application later is much harder.
If your record is not found
Work through this in order:
- Try another identifier. If the CNIC/B-Form search failed, try your roll number, then your registration number.
- Check your date of birth. Re-enter it exactly as on your board record.
- Check your board selection. Make sure you picked the board that conducted your exam.
- Check your board’s list. If your name is not on it, you are not shortlisted for this round — the portal cannot add you.
- Contact your board. Only your board can explain or correct its list. Do not pay anyone who offers to “add” your record — that is a scam.
Can you edit after submitting? What about status checking?
- Editing: No. Portal guides consistently report that students cannot directly edit their applications after final submission. Treat submission as final.
- Selection: Submitting a form does not guarantee a device. Final selection is merit-based from the shortlisted pool, and devices are distributed over two years — so a submitted application may wait for a later distribution batch.
- Status: No separate public status-check page with a published tracking procedure had been confirmed at the time of writing. Your reference number and slip are your tracking proof; for anything beyond that, your school and your board are the official channels — not a random “status check” website asking for your CNIC.
- Distribution: Selected students were handed devices at the launch ceremony, and further distribution follows the programme’s own schedule through schools and boards. If someone promises you a fixed delivery date for a fee, it is a scam.
Common mistakes that cost students their application
- Registering on a fake portal and handing over CNIC/B-Form details to criminals.
- Entering numbers with dashes, or a date of birth that does not match the board record.
- Uploading blurry or oversized files (over 300 KB each).
- Submitting with a wrong name, school, or marks, then discovering editing is impossible.
- Submitting a duplicate application instead of fixing the first one.
- Paying an “agent” who promises selection — there is no paid route.
Frequently asked questions
What is the official website for Chromebook registration?
Only https://pmychromebooks.ibcc.edu.pk — the IBCC portal. No other website is official for this scheme.
What is the last date to apply?
There is no single national deadline on the portal. Board notices reported 19 October 2026 for some boards’ first round, and no extension had been confirmed publicly by 26 October 2026. Check your own board’s notice.
Can I edit my application after submission?
No. The portal does not allow students to edit after final submission, so verify everything before you submit.
Will every applicant receive a Chromebook?
No. Application submission does not guarantee final selection or allocation — selection is merit-based, and distribution runs over two years.
My record is not found. Does that mean I am rejected?
Not necessarily — it usually means your board’s list does not include your record yet, or a detail you entered does not match. Try another identifier, check your date of birth and board, then contact your board.
